Origin: There  are  three   episodes  that  explain  the  Darkwing  Duck's

origin. The first one is in the episode  "The  Secret  Origins Of Darkwing  

Duck" and it's kind of a superman clone. Darkwing's family was  located on 

a planet far away from earth. One day, the  planet   exploded.  But before 

it did, Darkwing's father saved his son  by  placing  him into a spaceship 

and sending  him  to another planet. This planet  was  Earth. The story is 

told to   2   kids   from   the   future   suppossedly  by  DW's ghost. Of 

course,  this   story  probably  isn't true since the ghost just tried  to  

impress the  two  kids. The second episode  is "Paraducks". Drakey(kid DW) 

was impressed   by  the   first   real  superhero  he saw  (actually,  the 

superhero  in   question   was   Darkwing    Duck    that    has travelled 

in   time).  And   the   last   one,  "Clash Reunion",  took  place   when 

Darkwing was a  teenager.  Megavolt took  the  school  of  St.  Canard  in 

hostage when Darkwing decided to play the  hero  and  save the  day,  thus

becoming Darkwing Duck.



Synopsis: Darkwing is a very  proud,  sometimes  arrogant,  superhero. His

unpredictable  means of catching crooks  makes him end up in unpredictable

situations.  He always  believes that his zany plans will  work  and  does 

not believe  in luck  when they do. He built his secret hideout in Audobon 

bay bridge  and for  several  years,   busted small time petty thieves and 

criminals.  After a  few years,  Darkwing wanted a challenge and before he 

had time  to think  twice, he was hot on the trail of the infamous  Taurus

Bulba,  agent of  F.O.W.L.  Darkwing met launchpad during this mission and 

Accepted him  as  his sidekick. DW then adopted Gozalyn so  she  would  be 

safe and  away  from Bulba. What DW didn't know is  that  Gozalyn held the 

secret to solve  the  case. And so the story unfolds, you'll have to watch 

"Darkly Dawns the Duck" to find out the rest.

 

Although he has no superpowers  of  his own,  Darkwing has a  lot  of  high 

tech equipment to help him  fight  crime.  Launchpad built him an  airplane

called the thunderquack. He also has  his  motorcycle   which  he calls the 

ratcatcher. His  gas  gun  is  very  vesatile.  He can  put   many  various 

canisters and attachments in and on his gas gun, ranging  from a  grappling 

hook to a bazooka shell.  Also,  hidden  in  his  secret  hideout are these 

huge  supercomputers,  capable  of detecting crime anywhere in the city.

 




"I am the terror that flaps in the night!" Part of Darkwing's opening lines.

By  the  tme  he's  done  saying  them, the villain has already attacked or 

escaped.




"Lets get dangerous" Another one of Darkwing's Buzz phrases.



"I am the terror that flaps in the night! I am the jailor that throws away 

the keys! I  am... feeling  really  stupid."  Even  heroes  make  mistakes. 

Darkwing just makes them more often than others.




"This is all part of my plan. Really." Darkwing's inability  to  admit  he's 

wrong is part of what makes him so funny.
