Origin:

    If you can remember,  Launchpad  McQuack was old  Scrooge  McDuck's (the 

    old penny pincher from  the  cartoon series "Ducktales") pilot. One day,

    Launchpad just justgot tired of  it and  decided  to  move on. Launchpad

    met Darkwing by crashing into his garage. As it turns out, Launchpad was

    Darkwing's biggest fan. Darkwing was in need of a sidekick and Launchpad

    was in need of employment so it worked out just fine.


Synopsis:

    Launchpad is a graet pilot as well as a mechanic. He always works very 

    hard and sincerely tries his best. He designed  and  built  Darkwing's 

    plane, the Thunderquack, which was modeled after DW's image. Launchpad

    is also great  at  controlling  his plane is the air. Its the landings 

    that he has trouble with. Launchpad would be  the  perfect sidekick if 

    it wasn't for his lack of intelligence as well as  his  bad  luck.  Of 

    course,  that  all  makes  him  a  great character.  Basically, he's a 

    lovable guy  

 

"Megavolt will be signin' his new book 'Doin' Away With Super-heroes For Fun and Profit'. Hmm, I wonder if I'm in it." A classic example of how Launchpad overlooks the obvious.
