important announcements
- when writing your e-mail journals, please be sure to include your real name somewhere in the body of the message. we've gotten quite a few e-mails which we can't match to individual students.
- always check the day's schedule page for the journal question and homework assignment for the next class.
- if you're still casting around for ideas for your personal website, look at any student's page on the ATDP server.

- Tom's essay on the course weblog...
Piracy on the Cyber Seas
"As we discussed on Wednesday, Internet sociology is definitely weird. The open-source example of Linux is not the only case of group consensus government. Right now, three organizations "govern" the Internet, but none of them are actually governments..."
- journal question
I'm very pleased with the responses to the journals so far, but disappointed that I personally haven't found the time to respond to every single one of them. (Teaching 2 10-credit ATDP courses will put a crimp on anyone's time!) I know that Tom Fletcher has responded to some of you, and sent a global one to everybody (if you haven't received it, let us know your e-mail address so we can put you on the 'everyone' list).
- homework for Mon. 6.26
