All about ME.."Who am I? Where do I come from? What are my roots? That's simple.....both of my parents were born in the Philippines, and I came out in the states, so I'm a Filipino-American. Plain and easy, right? Actually....there's more to being Asian-created. Being a Filipino teenager is very exciting for me. Even though I was born in America, I still carry on the ways of the Filipino. But, of course, I still have the American side in me. I still love pizza as much as I love Kare-Kare, and slices of apples with caramel as much as slices of mango with bagoong. I found out that there's more to being Filipino than just the different foods they cook. I gained knowledge of my heritage and cultures by participating in many activities from folk dancing to Filipino celebrations. I love discovering things from my background, and I even discover new things about myself every day. It's fun being different, because I got a lil' of this and that inside of me. I'm proud of being who I am, and I'm sure all you other Filipinos out there are too. I believe everyone of this nationality some day will be able to unleash the true power of the Filipino. Always remember who you are and what you represent - a message from one Filipino to another."
