Other informational resources ATDP offers high school courses, taught at the honors or advanced level. If your school has granted credit, the course will appear on your regular high school transcript. On college applications you should list it as coursework completed at your high school. For applications to the University of California, list your ATDP courses under Self-Reported Academic Record (Section VII, items 72-78 on the 2007 application) and under Special Program Participation (Section V, item 50, Program Code 24). Furthermore, it is appropriate to discuss the scope of your ATDP participation in your UC Personal Statement (Section X) when responding to the question about Academic Preparation and education opportunities. When completing college applications, do NOT list UC Berkeley as a college, university, or other post-secondary institution you have attended. If you list ATDP as UC Berkeley, the colleges to which you are applying will ask you to provide a UC transcript; however, the UC Registrar's office does not have ATDP records, and an ATDP transcript is not a UC transcript. During your senior year, it is important that you continue to maintain a consistently high level of achievement, with consistently challenging coursework. Not only may colleges and universities ask to see your final semester's or year's grades, the work you do in your senior year of high school serves as a springboard that prepares you for the rigor of college-level study. Cal Specifics The Office of Admissions at UC Berkeley reviews every application twice. They consider factors such as the courses you take while in high school, grades, participation in extracurricular activities, and community service, in addition to standardized test scores (either ACT or SAT I, and three SAT II subject tests). Reviewers will take special note when you have challenged yourself by taking more rigorous coursework (Honors and Advanced Placement), when you have taken on positions of leadership, and when you have achieved special awards and recognition.
